অনলাইনে অবৈধ ক্যাসিনো ব্যবসার মূলহোতা সেলিম প্রধানের বনানীর বাসা থেকে ২৯ লাখ টাকা ও আট কোটি টাকার চেকসহ বিপুল পরিমাণ বিদেশি মদ উদ্ধার করেছে র্যাব। এর আগে গতকাল সোমবার রাতে সেলিম প্রধানের গুলশানের কার্যালয় থেকে বিপুল পরিমাণ মদ ও দেশি-বিদেশি অর্থ উদ্ধার করা হয়। রাতেই তাঁর গুলশান ২-এর বাড়িতেও অভিযান শুরু করে র্যাব।
র্যাব সদস্যরা সেলিমের সহযোগী মোহম্মদ আখতারুজ্জামানকেও গ্রেপ্তার করেছে। অভিযান শেষে র্যাবের মিডিয়া উইংয়ের ডিরেক্টর সরোয়ার বিন কাসেম জানান, অভিযানে প্রায় ২৩টি দেশের ৭৭ লাখ টাকার বিদেশি মুদ্রাও পাওয়া গেছে। এ ছাড়া অনলাইনে ক্যাসিনো পরিচালনায় ব্যবহৃত কয়েকটি কম্পিউটারও জব্দ করা হয়েছে।
