The icon exhibit Casino is based on the Chicago Outfit/Mobs takeover of Las Vegas. Joe Pesci plays the Nicky Santoro character which is based on mobster Tony Spilotro. Just like in the icon exhibit, Tony was beat to death with his brother. However it happened in a basement rather than a cornfield.
